Cancer Research at Saint Joseph's Hospital
Saint Joseph's is one of 50 hospitals nationwide
designated by the National
Cancer Institute (NCI) as the grantee institution
in Atlanta
for a Community Clinical Oncology Program
(CCOP) grant.
With access to the latest, most advanced cancer
treatments and therapies, Saint Joseph's is
a valuable resource for participating hospitals
and offers patients and referring physicians expertise
in cancer research and program management. Saint
Joseph's is currently participating in more
than 60 clinical treatment trials for all types
of cancer, as well as national cancer prevention
studies for patients at risk, including breast,
prostate and colorectal.
The ARCCOP program is designed to provide the
community with access to state-of-the-art treatment
and prevention protocols; giving local and regional
