1. Is there a cost to attend the Expo?
Attendance is free, however to reserve your place, a check for $10 is required. Your check will be returned at check-in on the day of the event unless you choose to donate it to the Men’s Health & Wellness Center at Saint Joseph’s. Checks should be made payable to the Saint Joseph’s Mercy Foundation. Seating is limited to the first 200 registrants. Please register by June 6, 2008. 2. Can I register online?
No, unfortunately, we are unable to accept online registrations at this time. Please print the conference brochure and mail it in with your $10 reservation fee to: Men’s Health & Wellness Center at Saint Joseph’s, 5665 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30342. Attendance is free, however to reserve your place, a check for $10 is required. 3. Who can (should) attend the Expo?
The Expo is focused on men’s health issues and lifestyle strategies for preventing illness as men age but the Expo will have information and resources for women as well. Presenters will focus on the benefits of nutrition, exercise and stress reduction on your physical and emotional health and offer practical advice for staying healthier longer.
Men and their partners are encouraged to attend together and both are invited to take advantage of the free health screenings being offered at the event.
4. I am a cancer survivor - will there be information at the Expo for me?
Yes. The Expo will offer information and resources for healthy living and for improving your health and overall wellness as you age, no matter what health conditions you may currently have. Presenters will focus on the benefits of nutrition, exercise and stress reduction on your physical and emotional health and offer practical advice for staying healthier longer.
5. Is lunch provided?
Yes, a light breakfast, full lunch and afternoon snack are provided free of charge for Expo attendees. Bottled water will be available all day free of charge. If you have any special dietary needs, please let us know in advance so we can do our best to accommodate.
6. Where should I park & is there a charge for parking?
Free parking for Expo attendees is available in the Cancer Center Parking Deck which is located directly across from the Florence Hays Erb Clinical Specialty Center (formerly the Cancer Center). Once on the main driveway at Saint Joseph’s (off of Peachtree Dunwoody Road), follow signs to the Cancer Center. View a map of the Saint Joseph’s campus. To locate the Expo, you will enter the Clinical Specialty Center and continue walking through the glass-enclosed hallway that will connect you to the ground floor of the main hospital building. The Carroll Conference & Education Center will be at the end of this hallway (past the cafeteria).
7. Where is the Carroll Conference & Education Center located?
The Carroll Conference & Education Center is located on the ground floor of the main hospital building. From the Florence Hays Erb Clinical Specialty Center (formerly the Cancer Center), continue walking through the glass-enclosed hallway that will connect you to the ground floor of the main hospital. The Carroll Conference & Education Center will be at the end of this hallway.
8. Where is Saint Joseph’s located?

9. Will I have an opportunity to ask questions at the sessions?
Yes. All of our presenters have set aside time for Q&A. We ask that questions about your specific situation be phrased in general terms so that the presenter can address your question in a way that’s helpful to everyone in the session. It is possible that all questions will not be answered due to the limited time in each session. If your question did not get answered and you want to submit it in writing, please give it to the volunteer at the registration table. We will attempt to answer all questions and post the answers on our website following the conference.
10. Do I have to stay for the entire day?
No. Of course, we prefer that Expo attendees stay for the entire program, however we recognize that that may not be possible for some people.
11. When is the best time to visit the exhibit/information tables?
There will be a variety of interesting and informative exhibit/information tables for you to visit. The best time to visit is during the registration period (8-9 a.m.) and during lunch (12:30-1:15 p.m.). Of course, you are also free to visit the exhibit tables while the speakers are presenting, if a particular topic is not of interest to you.
12. What health screening will be offered?
There will be a variety of free health screenings offered at the Expo including:
- blood pressure
- blood sugar
- cholesterol
- body mass index
- bone density
- voucher for a free prostate cancer screening (PSA & DRE) by appointment with a Saint Joseph’s Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist
13. Will the health screenings be free and open to both men and women?
Yes, all health screenings are being offered free of charge and are available to anyone attending the Expo.
14. Do I need to make an appointment in advance for the health screenings?
No, the screenings will be done on a first come, first served basis. Plan to arrive early to receive all of the screenings offered.
15. Will the presentations be videotaped?
No, unfortunately, we are not able to videotape the presentations. However, you may request the written materials from a particular session and we will provide those to you after the Expo.
16. Where can I find background information on the Expo presenters?
You will receive an Expo resource packet that will contain biographical information on all of the presenters as well as other useful resource information.
