Hospital Appreciation Day

Cookies, Cakes and Candy… Oh My! Hospital Appreciation Day was held on March 21, 2011. On this day WINGS and Teen WINGS showed their appreciation to the team members of Saint Joseph’s Hospital for all their hard work. WINGS and Teen WINGS prepared over 500 goody bags full of sweets and healthy treats for the staff and served chocolate, vanilla, and carrot cake in the cafeteria.
Volunteers show up the night before the event to prepare the bags with gift tags and sort the snacks. On the day of the event the team members were able to pick up their snack packs from a central distribution area in the hospital.
Dedication, talents and efforts of these highly-skilled and committed professionals touch thousands of
lives every year. WINGS is pleased to recognize and honor their incredible work and show their gratitude for their selfless devotion to the health and well-being of the community 365 days a year.
Hundreds of cookies, granola bars, fruits, chips and various other snacks are needed each year to fill the bags. It means a great deal to the hospital staff to receive these gifts of appreciation from the community.
