Join us as we celebrate the Twenty-Second Annual Wings of Mercy Ball, Magical Mystery, benefiting Saint Joseph’s Mercy Care Services.
This year, the gala will gather over 400 guests at its celebration on Saturday May 1, 2010, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Piedmont Driving Club. The affair will include a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, music, and a ceremony revealing this year’s Wings of Mercy Award recipient. The award recognizes an outstanding individual or family who has committed time, service and support to Saint Joseph’s and helped further the healing mission of the Sisters of Mercy.
Proceeds are dedicated to Saint Joseph’s Mercy Care Services, one of Atlanta’s oldest and largest community outreach programs serving the homeless, uninsured and immigrant populations in Atlanta. Mercy Care Services was created in 1985 to continue the community outreach in downtown Atlanta begun by the Sisters of Mercy in 1880, when they established Atlanta’s first permanent hospital, Saint Joseph’s. The 2010Wings of Mercy Ball committee invites you to support this worthwhile cause and enjoy this black-tie evening of celebration:
Patrons and guests of the Wings of Mercy Ball will give hope to hundreds of those in our community that need help most and thus support the mission of the Saint Joseph’s Mercy Care Services -- to participate in the healing ministry of the Church and the Sisters of Mercy by improving the wellbeing of persons who are poor and disenfranchised, through the promotion of health, provision of health services and advocacy for healthy communities.
