Cardiac Electrophysiology

Saint Joseph's provides a full slate of testing, diagnostic and treatment options for patients with heart rhythm abnormalities and accompanying complications.

Specially-trained in the interrogation and understanding of electrical dysfunction in the heart, the Institute’s EP staff is certified by the Heart Rhythm Society, the dominant professional group representing the specialty of cardiac pacing and EP.  Here, the team performs a range of procedures:

  • EP studies and radio-frequency ablations guided by electro-anatomical 3D mapping capabilities
  • Implantation of single and dual chamber pace makers
  • Implantation of implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) for prevention of heart failure and life-threatening arrhythmias.

For more information on the electrophysiology capabilities, call 678-843-7951.
