Medical Cardiology

For many patients, a medical cardiologist acts as a primary care physician providing cardiac evaluation and monitoring services.  Medical cardiologists provide a full range of non-invasive diagnostic services including EKGs, stress tests, cholesterol screenings, prevention strategies as well as prescribe medications to maintain control over emerging cardiac conditions.

If a condition is diagnosed which requires a more invasive procedure or test, patients are referred to interventional cardiologists for further examination and treatment.
