Nutrition (celiac disease)

Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract often lead to the development of malnutrition.  Saint Joseph’s Hospital provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services to help remedy this problem.  Conditions diagnosed may include celiac disease

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube (feeding tube) insertion is performed in Saint Joseph’s endoscopy unit.  The nutritional support team is part of the multidisciplinary team that works with patients,  teaching about care of the tube as well as eating and nutrition information.
