Nicolas Chronos, M.D., President/CEO and Institutional Official for Saint Joseph's Translational Research Institute Inc. (SJTRI) is pleased to announce the appointment of S. David McLean, Jr., Associate General Counsel for Saint Joseph's Health System, Inc., as Chairperson of SJTRI's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
Mr. McLean has practiced health care law in Atlanta for twenty (20) years. Mr. McLean also serves as the Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta Institutional Review Board (IRB) Administrator where he is responsible for the administrative and regulatory oversight of the function of two (2) IRBs which review and monitor clinical research conducted at Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta. Mr. McLean has served the SJTRI IACUC as legal counsel for the past two (2) years.
Dr. Chronos is pleased to also announce the appointment of Traci Goodchild, Ph.D., as the Vice Chair of SJTRI IACUC. Dr. Goodchild is a Senior Scientist of Regenerative Medicine. Traci brings many years of scientific experience to the IACUC Leadership Team and served as the Chairperson of SJTRI IACUC in 2008.
Dr. Chronos is pleased to also announce that Gloria Tyree Pullard will assist the IACUC Chair and Vice Chair as SJTRI's IACUC Administrator. Mrs. Pullard is SJHS Legal Department's Research Regulatory Administrator/Senior Paralegal. Ms. Pullard is a graduate of Michigan State University B.A. (Dual Major) and attended Louisiana State University Paralegal Studies (ABA) Program. Ms. Pullard is a Certified Paralegal with fifteen (15) years of experience and provides support to pre-clinical and clinical research contracting and contract administration. Ms. Pullard prepares and submits regulatory compliance reports, licensures and accreditation reports to regulatory agencies for SJTRI. Ms. Pullard will be responsible for managing SJTRI IACUC Administration as she is currently pursuing her certification as the IACUC Administrator through PRIMR.
The IACUC Leadership Team will assist Dr. Chronos and his Executive Business Managers of SJTRI in moving the organization to the next level of scientific clinical and pre-clinical research.
